Deck builder in Saratoga Springs, NY
New decks, stair rebuilds and railing replacements in composite or pressure-treated lumber, framed for snow load and freeze-thaw.

What we build
- New composite decks with picture-frame borders
- Pressure-treated decks, painted or stained
- Stair rebuilds with new stringers and treads
- Railings in vinyl, painted wood or black aluminum
- Landings, platforms and entry steps
A deck in Saratoga County has to carry snow load and withstand repeated freeze-thaw cycles, so the footings and framing matter as much as the decking. We build and rebuild decks of every size, from full-width rear decks to small entry landings.
Stairs and railings usually wear out before the deck itself. If the frame is sound, rebuilding the stairs and railings with new stringers, treads and code-compliant rails can extend the life of the deck considerably.
What sets the price of a deck
Size and height have the greatest effect on cost, followed by materials: composite decking costs more than pressure-treated lumber. Stairs, railing style, built-in benches and site access also affect the price. You receive a written price before any work begins.
Composite, pressure-treated, or both
Composite decking holds its color and needs only occasional cleaning. Pressure-treated lumber costs less and takes stain or paint well. Many decks combine the two, with composite decking and rails on a pressure-treated frame.
Repair or rebuild
If the posts, beams and joists are sound, new decking, stairs and rails may be all you need. If the framing is deteriorated or pulling away from the house, a full rebuild is the safer choice. We assess the structure at the site visit.
Permits
Most towns require a building permit for a new deck, and many do for a rebuild. Requirements vary by town, and we account for the permit when planning the job.

What homeowners usually ask before a site visit.
Composite or pressure-treated: which should I choose?
Composite costs more up front and needs very little upkeep. Pressure-treated lumber costs less but needs stain or paint every few years. Many decks mix the two, with composite boards on a pressure-treated frame. We can review both options with you at the site visit.
Can you replace just my deck stairs or railing?
Yes. We rebuild stairs and railings regularly, and doing so often extends the life of a deck whose frame is still sound.
How does pricing work?
After a site visit, we provide a written estimate with the scope of work, the price and a payment schedule. If the scope changes during the job, we agree on the change and its cost in writing before proceeding.
